Fuel Thefts
In the Ardingly area several vehicles have suffered fuel thefts. The
advice is to park in your locked garage (if you have one) or in a
well-lit area, and always lock your vehicle and set the alarm. Think
about parking in such a way that could frustrate access to the rear or
fuel filling area. Report any suspicious behaviour around vehicles to
101 or 999 if a crime is in progress. [16-05-13]

Horse Rugs Stolen
Between 6pm 6/4 and 9pm 7/4 four horse rugs were stolen from horses in
a field in Underhill Lane, Hassocks. A similar incident occurred in
Ardingly a few weeks ago (see #652) but it's

uniquely mark horse rugs to deter thefts or if stolen and recovered can
then be returned - the shivering horses would appreciate it too. Any
