  2. The day/date/time of visits
  3. Visitor's IP (Internet Protocol) address
  4. Visitor's 'User Agent', namely operating system and web browser type

Purposes

We use the statistics generated above only to analyze general traffic patterns for site improvement purposes.  No unique identifier information, such as your e-mail address, can be obtained.  We use the page counter to determine page popularity in order to prioritise page updates to the more popular pages and to improve and promote the less visited pages.  Peak visit patterns are determined to plan updates for maximum audience capture.  Visitor computer statistics, such as user agent and screen resolution, is used  to ensure the site pages are constructed to be compatible with the majority of computer systems visitors are using.  The referrer and keyword/phases information is used to determine which search terms are being used to find the site for ongoing Search Engine Marketing purposes.  The IP address and ISP is used to check for any problems, such as the site being cached by particular ISPs and visitors still seeing old pages rather than newer ones.

Distribution

The site statistics are used mainly by the webmaster for site improvement and monitoring.  They are also made available if requested to certain key Neighbourhood Watch personnel, together with the local Crime Prevention Co-ordinator and local Beat Officer.  They are not seen by any other party, unless we have to provide them by law.  We keep the statistics for an indeterminate time for comparison purposes.

E-mails and site forms

Information that you choose to provide via e-mail or via a site form is only kept locally for the time it takes to respond.  All e-mails and form mails are then archived on external media in case of future queries.  No copies are kept on any web server or mail server and only the admin of this website receives and views the e-mails or form results, unless we have to provide them by law.
